Linda Irene Johnson, 60, of Sheridan, surrounded by friends, family and loved ones, passed away at Sheridan Memorial Hospital on September 15, 2009.
A long time resident of Sheridan Linda was born March 11th, 1949 in Forrest Lake, Minnesota to Leonard and Irene Schmedeke. She married Albert Johnson in October 1966 and moved to her home Sheridan in 1973. In 1979 Linda opened Hair’s the Place Beauty Salon and operated it for 17 successful years. Linda also worked as a CNA for Eventide and Sheridan Memorial Hospital and was a life member of the VFW Womens Auxiliary. Linda loved the mountains and could be found on her 4 wheeler there most of the summer, she also enjoyed cooking for her family and friends and would always say “if you leave hungry its your own damn fault”.
In recent years she also enjoyed traveling when she couldn’t be in the mountains taking cruises and spending time with her dad in Arizona.
She loved to laugh and entertain friends and family when ever she could.
She is survived by her two sons Albert T (Teddy) Johnson and John C Johnson both from Gillette Wyoming, her father Leonard Schmedeke, sister Heidi Hassel and her Grand children Cody, Stormy & Kelsey Johnson and Kierstin Webster.
The family will be holding a celebration of life at 1:30 p.m. Saturday September 19, 2009 at the Eagles Lodge Post 4169 at the Industrial Park.
