Larry A. Andre, 75, of Sheridan, Wyoming, died Monday, May 5, 2014 at his residence surrounded by his family.

Mr. Andre was born July 20, 1938 in Omaha, Nebraska to Arthur H. and Luree I (Gaster) Andre. Larry grew up and attended school in Omaha and graduated from Tech High in Omaha.

Mr. Andre married Connie J. Wittages in Omaha. After Connie’s death, Larry married Cindi Cossey in Sheridan, Wyoming.

In Larry’s younger years, he played in a rock-and-roll band called the “Playboys”. At their highest popularity, they opened for the Rolling Stones. The family moved to Wyoming and he played at the American Legion Club. Larry then became a salesman for Kent/Crest Industries.

Mr. Andre spent 49 years playing with the 7th Cavalry Drum and Bugle Corps. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, was a ham radio operator, and was an all-around outdoorsman. Larry enjoyed riding Harley’s for years and attended numerous biker rallies.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Connie, and daughter, Laura A. Andre.

Larry is survived by one son, Tim S. Andre, of Aurora, Colorado; one daughter, Lisa R. Songer, of Sheridan, Wyoming; one sister, Sara Y. Lorentzen, (Thomas D.), of Omaha, Nebraska; 5 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; and many friends.

A Celebration of Life for Larry will be 2:00 P. M. Saturday, May 10, 2014 at the American Legion Post #7, 137 N. Brooks St., Sheridan, with Dan Burgess and Beth Shelton as speakers. Arrangements are with Champion Ferries Funeral Home.
