Funeral services for Julianne Gail Koch, 70 year old Sheridan woman, who passed away Monday at her home, surrounded by her loving family, will be held Thursday, May 2, at 2:00 p.m. from the Bethesda Worship Center in Sheridan, Wyoming with Keevin Koch officiating. Visitation will be held from the Harness Funeral Home Chapel in Buffalo on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Thursday at the Bethesda Worship Center in Sheridan from 12:00 noon until 1:30 p.m. Friends may, if they wish, donate to the Juli Koch Memorial, a fund set up to help the family defray final expenses, in care of the Harness Funeral Home at 351 N. Adams in Buffalo who are in charge of all arrangement.
Julianne Gail Koch was born on October 18, 1942, to Francis J. and Beatrice G. Winder. She grew up and received her education and graduated from Grant High School in 1963 in Portland Oregon. After High School she attended Midwestern School of Evangelism in Ottumwa, IA, she also attended William Penn College in Oskaloosa, IA. She received a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Education from Elmira College in Elmira, New York and taught school in Puerto Rico and in San Louis Obispo, CA.
She married Kyle Koch on July 25, 1968, in Portland, Oregon, and they made their home in Hamburg, Iowa. They then moved to Wray, Colorado, and finally ended living in God’s Country, Wyoming, for 20 years. She worked for the post office in Wray and she transferred with the post office to Sheridan and worked there until this past March.
Juli is survived by her husband of 45 years Kyle Koch of Sheridan; three daughters, Heather Daniell and her husband Gary of Cleburne, Texas, Melissa Curuchet of Buffalo, and Erin Pennington and her husband Todd of Brownwood, Texas; two sons Justin Koch of Sheridan, Wyoming and his fiancé, Laura of Brazil and Cody Koch of Sheridan, Wyoming; one brother, Jim Winder and his wife Shirley of Hollister, California; one sister Nancy Ellis and her husband Dick of Ottumwa, Iowa and nine grandkids. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters- in- law.
