Funeral services for Judi Verplancke, 63 year old Williston, North Dakota resident who passed away Tuesday morning at the Johnson County Health Care Center in Buffalo, Wyoming, surrounded by her family, will be held on Sunday, December 22nd at 2:00 p.m. from the Fulkerson Funeral Home in Sidney, Montana. Visitation will be held from the Fulkerson Funeral Home on Saturday from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 9:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. A private family interment will be held by the family in the Lone Butte Cemetery in Culbertson. Donations in Judi’s memory may be made to the Suzie Bowling Lawrence Hospice in care of the Fulkerson Funeral Home or the Harness Funeral Home in Buffalo, who are in charge of local arrangements.
Judi Kay Verplancke was born on November 28, 1950 in Culbertson, Montana to Bill and Jackie (Syth) Buckley. She grew up on the family farm 16 miles south of Culbertson where she went to a county school and later attended Fairview High School. She was married in the Spring of 1969 in Fairview to Richard Verplancke and they made their home in Williston, North Dakota where they began their family and Judi was a home maker. Rick and Judi were divorced in 1982 and in 1984 Judi was married to Merwin Wieler in Williston. After a divorce in 1988 Judi continued living in Williston.
She is survived by two sons, James Verplancke and his wife Jodi of Buffalo and Shawn Verplancke and his wife Judy also of Buffalo; one daughter Jodi Verplancke-Davis of Casper; 5 brothers, Gary Buckley and his wife Linda of Sidney, Montana, Jim Buckley and his wife Stacy of Culbertson, Montana, Bill Buckley and his wife Marsha of Fairview, Montana, Buck Syth and his wife Kim of Fairview, and Brent Kohlman and his wife Linda also of Fairview; eight sisters, Pat Syth and her husband Larry of Sidney, Montana, Carol Anderson of Marysville, California, Judy Syth-Elletson also of Williston, Bobbie Nelson and her husband Terry of Fairview, Jane Wegley of Williston, Buckie McCoy of Plentywood, Montana and Cindy Sundheim and her husband Steve of Billings, Montana; ten grandchildren; her dear friend Merwin Wieler of Williston and a friend and companion, her dog Sadie. Judi was very loved and will be missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, one sister Shirley Buckley and step- father Varlock Syth.
