Jean Toller-McDonald passed away February 21, 2010 at Sheridan Memorial Hospital. She was born September 4, 1943, in Lincoln, Nebraska, to Barbara and Lester Campbell. She married Bill McDonald on June 16, 1999 in Sheridan, Wyoming.
Jean was a wife, mother and "Nanny" and "Grandma Nanny" to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved the mountains and cooking. Jean’s favorite saying was, "This too will pass." Jean was a Human Services Provider and her passion was working with the developmentally disabled at RENEW, Easter Seals and in the school systems. In Lincoln, Nebraska, she worked in Vital Services and Res-Care.
Mrs. Toller-McDonald was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of Sheridan, her children, Tammy McDougall (Scott), Sheridan, Tracy Porter (Latonya) of Sheridan, and Shawn Helmstadter (Allison) of Lincoln, Nebraska; her siblings John Campbell, Jim Campbell, Leslie Applegarth all of Lincoln, Nebraska, and Bill Campbell of Texas; Grandchildren Dallas Porter, Jenica Brink, Drew Bennick, Cody Knode, Cole Porter, Hope Porter, Chase Porter, Caleb Helmstadter, Colby Helmstadter and Great-Grandchildren Damian Zemski, Bryce Porter and Bailey Bennick.
A Memorial Service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 27, 2010 at the Rock Church, 100 W. Works (First Congregational Church) with Pastor Mike Garneau officiating. A reception will follow the service at the church. Kane Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
