Jacob Matthew Ahrens, 6, of Sheridan passed away on Friday, February 10, 2012 at his home surrounded by his family and friends.
Jacob was born October 15, 2005 in Victorville, California to Joshuea Ahrens and Amie Hasman. He was diagnosed with stage 3 brain cancer in December 2010. Jacob fought a GREAT fight, with courage and dignity.
Jacob was an AMAZING little boy!! He brought a smile to everyone he met, love and laughter to their hearts. His time as an Angel here on earth was not long yet made a huge impression on everyone who knew of him. He liked wrestling, dirt bike riding, camping, fishing, Muttin Bustin, singing, dancing and playing with his friends. He attended Holy Name Preschool last year and kindergarten at Coffeen Elementary School this year. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his parents, Josh and Tina Ahrens of Sheridan, WY, Amie and Skip Dixon of Helendale, CA, brothers and sisters; Jessica Sherman, Helendale, CA, Kelsey Baker, Wright, WY, Tyler Combridge, Sheridan, WY, Joshuea and John Ahrens, Sheridan, WY, Joccelyn Ugarte, San Diego, CA. His grandparents, Dennis and Alise Higgins, Sheridan, WY, Jeff Ahrens, San Diego, CA, George and Jody Rogers, Sheridan, WY, Denis and Lana Kenney, of Phoenix, AZ, his aunts and uncles; Alen and Angie Wolf, Billings, MT and Joe and Brittni Ahrens, San Diego, CA.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, February 17, 2012 at the First Baptist Church with a reception at Coffeen Elementary School.
