Jack Harold Miller of Spearfish passed away on Sunday September 29, 2013, losing his battle with cancer. Memorial services will be held, Thursday October 3rd at 2pm with Pastor Scott McKirdy officiating at Spearfish United Methodist Church. Inurnment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. Jack Miller was born in Spearfish, SD August 29th, 1948 to Viola and Donald Miller. He attended school in Spearfish and went to Grand Forks, North Dakota for college. He was married to Deloris Stam in November of 1969 until 1989. During that time he lived in Colorado Springs, CO, where he worked as an insurance agent for Farmer Ins. Company. He moved to Missouri in the early 1990's and returned home to Spearfish, SD to be closer to his family in mid 2012. He loved people, classical music and dancing. He had an amazing zest for life and helping others whenever he could. His strength and positive mental attitude for everything he did made him an amazing person to be around and love. He was loved and admired by many. He was preceded in death by his mother, Viola Miller, his sister, Joyce Boyer and a son, Andrew Miller. He is survived by his children; Jeffrey Miller, Angela Miller both from Sheridan, WY, Laurie Mullins and Tracy Litzenburger of Bethlehem, PA and Terry Kennedy of Colorado Springs, CO, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, his father, Donald Miller of Spearfish and his siblings; Rob Miller of Rapid City, Linda Boulware of Kingsville, TX, Beth Gross of Sioux Falls, Herbert Miller, Dubuque, IA and Maelynn Poitra of Belle Fourche.
