A memorial service / celebration of life will be held Saturday June 28, 2014 4:00 P.M. at the Big Horn High School Auditorium. A reception will follow at the Big Horn Women's Club.

Sandra “Sandy” Arlene Pinkerton, 74, of Sheridan, passed away on Wednesday, June 11, 2014, at her home on Kruse Creek, after a courageous two year battle with cancer.

Mass of Christian Burial for John McMahan, 74 year old long time Buffalo resident who passed away Tuesday at the Johnson County Health Care Center, will be celebrated Monday, June 16th at 10:00 a.m. from the St. John the Baptist Church in Buffalo with Father Pete Johnson as Celebrant. A vigil service, Rosary and time of sharing will be held Sunday at 7:00 p.m. from the Catholic Church.

A celebration of life and time of fellowship will be held for Keith Reynolds, 72 year old Buffalo man who passed away quietly at his home in Buffalo on Tuesday afternoon, will be held by his family at the Big Horn Baptist Church in Buffalo on Friday, June 13th at 5:00 p.m. Donations in Mr. Reynolds’ memory may be made to the Keith Reynolds Memorial in care of the Harness Funeral Home at 351 N.

Mass of Christian Burial for Ginny Knebel, 88 year old long time Buffalo resident who passed away quietly at the Amie Holt Care Center Monday evening, surrounded by her family, will be celebrated on Saturday, June 14th at 10:00 a.m. from the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Buffalo, with Father Pete Johnson as Celebrant.

William J. Laya passed away at the Sheridan VA Medical Center, in the presence of his family, on June 9, 2014. “Bill” was born in Kleenburn, Wyoming on September 1, 1930, the son of Joseph T. and Mary (Michalek) Laya. He was a proud life-long resident of Sheridan County.

Funeral services for Bob Ross, 91 year old long time Johnson County resident who passed away Tuesday at the Pomona Valley Hospital in Pomona, California while visiting his son, will be held Wednesday, June 11th at 10:00 a.m. from St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Buffalo with Father Doug Wasinger officiating. Visitation will be held in the Harness Funeral Home on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m.

Charles Shobe, 89, of Sheridan, passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2014, at the Sheridan Memorial Hospital.

Babe Helling, 80, passed away at the Billings Clinic on June 7th, 2014. Babe was born in Sheridan on January 2, 1934 to Clara and Glen Daugherty. She grew up in Sheridan, however her family briefly lived in both California and Montana before returning home to Sheridan.

Philip Gregory Frey, 88, of Sheridan, passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at the Westview Health Care Center.

A Graveside service with full Military Honors will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 14, 2014, in the Elks Cemetery. A reception will immediately follow at the Elks Lodge.

Nan B. Wertman, 98, of Wolf, passed away on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at her residence. She was born on January 24, 1916, in Bala-Cynwyd, PA, to parents Frank E. and Gladys (Campbell) Baker.

Nan came from PA in the early 1930's with her family as “dudes” at Eatons' Ranch, where she met and married her first husband, Billy Eaton. He passed away in 1949.
She later married Roy Wertman.

Ellen Louise Wallick, 91, of Sheridan, passed away on Thursday, June 5, 2014 at
Green House Living for Sheridan.

Her journey began on December 24, 1922 when she was born to parents William
and Bertha Coonrod in Butler, Missouri. She attended Drury College in Springfield,
MO, majoring in Home Economics and was a member of the Tri Delta Sorority.

Richard Jeunehomme, 69, of Thermopolis, passed away on Wednesday, June 4, 2014, at the Sheridan VA Medical Center.
