Judy Olson, director of COPE, “Counseling in Overcoming Painful Emotions”, will be starting a nine week program sponsored by Kane Funeral Home. COPE is an aftercare program designed to help deal with overcoming the loss of a loved one and gain support from others in the community experiencing the same type of grief.

Robert E. Hogarth, Jr., 86, of Sheridan, passed away on Tuesday, November 8, 2016, at the Sheridan Manor.

Graveside services will follow at Churchill County Cemetery.

Mass of Christian Burial for David Larkin, 86 year old Buffalo resident who passed away quietly Sunday morning at the Amie Holt Care Center in Buffalo, will be celebrated on Friday, November 11th at 10 a.m. at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Buffalo with Father Pete Johnson as celebrant. A Vigil Service will be held and the Rosary recited on Thursday at 6:00 p.m. at the St.

Maribeth Harrison Rose, 95, of Sheridan, passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2016, at the St. Vincent's Hospital in Billings, MT. She was born on September 10, 1921, in Omaha, NE, to parents William Henry and Mary Elizabeth (Newton) Harrison.

Marion McNickle Newton, 99, of Sheridan, passed away on Friday, November 4, 2016, at the Sheridan Memorial Hospital. She was born on June 9, 1917, to Emery and Alice Golay in Farnam, NE.

Marion married Francis McNickle in 1937, they had two children, Penelope and Michael. Francis passed away in 1954.

Norma M. Goodman, 87, of Sheridan, passed away on Friday, November 4, 2016, at the Westview Health Care Center.

Billy H. Watson, 82, lifetime resident of Sheridan, returned to his heavenly home on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at the Kloefkorn Hospice Home in Casper, WY with family by his side. He was born on June 10, 1934 in Sheridan, WY to Homer and Bertine (Burns) Watson.

Carol J. Hohbach, 78, of Sheridan, passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2016, at the Sheridan Manor. She was born on July 7, 1938, to parents George Jr. and Hermina S. (Wiselka) Belus in Sheridan, WY. She married Gordon Hohbach by Reverend Obermueller on March 26, 1961, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Charles “Chuck” Albert Shepard, 69, of Sheridan, passed away on Tuesday, November 1, 2016, at the Sheridan VA Mountain View Nursing Home. He was born in Denver, CO, on May 4, 1947, to parents Jay Jay and Nellie May Redisell Shepard. Most of his youth was spent in Colorado.

Graveside services for Ken Haddock, 87 year old former Buffalo resident, will be held on Friday, November 4th at 2:00 p.m. at the Willow Grove Cemetery in Buffalo with Pastor Jung officiating. Funeral services for Billy Irvine, 92 year old Buffalo resident who passed away late Saturday evening at the Amie Holt Care Center in Buffalo will be held Saturday, November 5th at 1:00 p.m. from the Harness Funeral Home Chapel in Buffalo with John Christian officiating. Visitation will be held from the funeral home on Friday from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.

Nels Albert Nelson Jr was born on June 8, 1917 in North Mankato, Minnesota to Nels Albert (Sr) and Serine Hansen Nelson joining his sister Marguerite. Nels was called to his Heavenly Home on October 29, 2016, just 14 days after he and his wife Ellen’s 75th wedding anniversary.

Jean Marie Peterson-Garnett passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2016, at the VA Medical Center in Sheridan. She was born to Winnifred Curry-Peterson and Virgil Peterson on July 14. 1957, and grew up in the Platte Valley area of Encampment and Saratoga. She graduated from Bertha High School in 1975.
