Frederick E. Sanwick, 72, of Ranchester, WY died Thursday, February 21, 2013, in Billings Clinic, Billings, MT.
Fred was born October 8, 1940, in Viroqua, WI to Alvin & Mildred (Thompson) Sanwick
Fred grew up and attended schools in Cashton, WI. He owned and operated a dairy farm and raised tobacco. Fred married Edith Libke on August 3, 1963, in Sparta, WI. They moved to Wright, WY in 1979 where he was a coal miner. He retired in 1996 and moved to Ranchester. Edith died in 2008. He was an avid gardener with a big garden and donated some of his produce for needy families. An avid Green Bay Packer fan, Fred also enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and four wheeling. He was a member of the NRA.
Fred is survived by his sons Steve (Petry) Libke of Germany and Jim Sanwick of Sheridan; daughter Tammy Sanwick of Ranchester; brothers Norman Sanwick of LaCrosse, WI and Maynard Sanwick of Viroqua, WI and two grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Memorial service will be 11:00am on Friday (Mar. 1st) from Champion Ferries Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Derryberry officiating. Arrangements are with Champion Ferries Funeral Home.
