Frank V. Hill, 77, of Sheridan passed away on Monday, October 24, 2011 at Sheridan Memorial Hospital.
Frank was born on May 9, 1934 in Duluth, MN to parents Frank Victor and Elsie (Jylka) Hill.
He married Signe Hinkkanen in secret fifty seven years ago. He was a graduate of the University of Iowa and a Letterman Swimmer.
Frank worked for the Iowa Highway Patrol, was a Scout Executive for the Boy Scouts of America, owner of the Finn Bear Woodcarving and Master woodcarver/instructor. He enjoyed carving in wood, antler and ostrich eggs.
Frank was a life member of the Forest Lake Masonic Lodge in Forest Lake MN. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and Y-swimmer.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents and daughter Tracy Hill. He is survived by his wife Signe Hill, children; Michael (Jennifer) Hill of Forest Lake, MN, Keith (Donna) Hill of Roberts, WI and Valerie Bieser of Milwaukee, WI, a brother Herbert Jylka of Duluth, MN., Shaman, grandchildren; Jon-Jon, Kavanaugh, Patrick and Katie.
A Masonic Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, October 27, 2011 at Kane Funeral Home.
