Elaine Loretta Wondra

Our Mom, Gramma and friend left us on June 29th, 2009,after a short illness, to be in a better place.
Elaine Loretta Wondra was born at home in Monarch to Michael and Anne Kawulok, on July 31st, 1928.
She joined two sisters, Margaret and Florence. She grew up in Monarch until the age of 14, when her dad died unexpectedly. Elaine and her mom and sisters moved to Ranchester where she attended school and graduated from Ranchester High school.
She married Marion Wondra on July 7th, 1948 at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Monarch. They built a home in Ranchester and had one daughter, Diana.

She worked for Drs. Crane, Samson and Wilde in Sheridan and loved the medical field. After being a stay at home mom for several years she continued her career with the Sheridan Press where she made many lifelong friends. After her husband passed away she found a job with School District 1 as an administrative secretary. She made many more friends there and worked for the school until her retirement.

She loved retirement and filled her time with reading, gardening doing crafts and spending time with her numerous cats and dogs. She was also able to spend many happy times with her grandchildren and they kept her very busy.

She is survived by her daughter Diana and husband Rod of Ranchester, Granddaughter Brooke of Bozeman and Grandson Wyatt of Sheridan.

A memorial service will be held in the Elks section of the Sheridan Municipal Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. on
Friday, July 31st.

In lieu of flowers the family is asking that you send donations to the Sheridan Dog and Cat Shelter or the Tongue River Community Center in Ranchester.
