Dorothy Alice Griffin, 91, of Sheridan, passed away at Westview Healthcare Center on Saturday, April 28, 2012.

Dorothy was born on December 13, 1920 to Lucille Elenor (Daughetee) and Fredrick Wilhelm Komoll, Jr. in Lovell, Wyoming. She graduated from Sheridan College in the Nursing Program. She married Richard Dean Griffin on October 29, 1943 in San Diego, CA. Together they moved to Sheridan and started their family.

Dorothy liked sewing, growing her violets and flowers, gardening, reading, crocheting, spending time in the mountains, and being a nurse. She corresponded with many of her family and friends and it was very hard for them when she could no longer do it. She loved studying her bible and most of all adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Sheridan, WY.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, husband; Richard, only son; Tom, grandson; Edward Pooley, two sisters and four brothers. She is survived by her children; Kathleen Reinoehl, Sheridan, WY, Jenny (Chuck) Stannard, Vancouver, WA Pat Crawford, Sheridan,WY, and (Little Sis) Pat Hubbard, seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Memorials to honor Dorothy can be made to the Sheridan Seventh Day Adventist Church at 345 S. Main, Sheridan, WY 82801.
