Funeral services for David Niffenegger, 23 year old Buffalo man who was killed early Sunday morning in a one car accident north of Kaycee, will be held Friday, August 2nd at 10:00 a.m. from the Harold Jarrard Park Building in Kaycee with Reverend Carole Buckingham officiating. Interment will be in the Kaycee Cemetery with graveside services to follow the funeral. Donations in David’s memory may be made to the Hoof Prints of the Past Museum in care of the Harness Funeral Home at 351 N. Adams in Buffalo.
David-Alan Dean Niffenegger was born on May 14, 1990 in Casper, Wyoming to Shawn and Wendy Niffenegger. He grew up and went to school in Casper and attended Natrona County High School and later received a G.E.D. After high school he worked at various jobs and spent very happy times being a ranch hand. He was living in Barnum at the time of his death.
David was a fun loving young man who loved life and lived it to the fullest. He enjoyed archery, ranching, lambing, video games and played hockey for several years. His life long ambition was to become a motorcycle and small engine repairs mechanic.
He is survived by his mother Wendy Niffenegger and her companion Tim Graves; his father Shawn Niffenegger and his wife Beverly of Essex, Montana; his maternal grandmother, Pam Dixon of Casper; his maternal grandfather Elton Andrew and his wife Carol of Dubois; his paternal grandfather, John Niffenegger and his wife Phyllis of Buffalo; his paternal grandmother, Sally Bear and her husband Willy of Monore, Wisconsin; two step sisters Kristina Ritchie of Columbia Falls, Montana and Leah Venagas of Colorado Springs, Colorado; three aunts, JoDean McCormick of Casper, Amanda Andrew of Dubois and Sherry Niffenegger of Buffalo; Uncles Art Andrew of Glenrock, Bart and Matt Miller both of Casper, Kelly Niffenegger of Thayer, Missouri and Chris Niffenegger of Florida; and very special cousins, Anna and Falon McCormick of Casper, Eric Erb of Columbia Falls, Montana, Julia Eason of Phoenix, Arizona and Hilary and Brittany Long of Buffalo.
