Daniel (Danny) Orr, age 62, passed away September 7, 2009 at Sheridan Memorial Hospital.
Danny was born March 29, 1947 to Ross H. "Shorty" and Luella (Frey) Orr in Deadwood, South Dakota. He graduated from high school in 1965 and served in the Navy from 1965 to 1969. He married Linda Lenker February 11, 1983.
Danny worked for the forest service for 20 years and then worked at the VA until his retirement. He loved to hunt and fish and to hit the casinos in Deadwood, South Dakota. He was the Past Post Commander of American Legion #7, a member of Disabled American Veterens and a member of the new Eagles Lodge. Danny volunteered over 1000 hours at the V.A. over the last 20 years
He is survived by his wife Linda of Ranchester, sisters Betty Orr, Buffalo, Wyoming, Chris (Doug) Smith, Corvallis, Oregon, and Louise Gregory, Germany, and brother Wes (Diane) Orr, Ennis, Montana and numerous nieces and nephews..
Services will be at Kane Funeral Home Saturday, September 12, 2:00 p.m. with Tony Forman, Cornerstone Church, officiating. A celebration of Danny’s life will be at the American Legion following the services.
