Dale Edwin Gosney was born July 8, 1943 to Elmer and Verna Gosney. He grew up and received his education in Kaycee and later in Casper graduating from Natrona County High School in 1961. After high school Dale attended the University of Wyoming where he received a BS Degree in 1965. Dale was drafted into the military and spent four years in Germany with the United States Army. After an honorable discharge he moved to California to continue his education. He returned to Kaycee where he worked on the family with his parents and family.
Dale loved to travel and did extensive trips to Egypt, India, Europe and the Orient. Paris was a favored destination that he visited several times. Gardening was a favorite pastime and he planted a wide variety of plants, flowers, and trees around his home. He relished making jams or jellies and would make sourdough bread to share with his family. Although he had not attended a seminary, he was asked to preside over several funerals and his booming voice could always be heard in the very back row. His large baritone voice singing our National Anthem would stir the patriot heart in all who heard it.
He is survived by his sister-in-law, Jane Ann Gosney of Kaycee; one nephew Stuart Gosney also of Kaycee; one niece Cydney Long, and her husband John of Buffalo; four great nephews and two great nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother Gary Gosney.
