Funeral services for Charlotte Esther Brown, 65 year old Buffalo resident who died Saturday morning at the Johnson County Healthcare Center in Buffalo, Wyoming will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 13th at the Adams Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held from the Adams Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 12th from 1:00 - 9:00 p.m. Donations in Charlotte’s memory may be made to help the family defray funeral expenses in care of Adams Funeral Home at 351 N. Adams Ave. in Buffalo.

Charlie was born on January 16, 1947 in Raton, New Mexico to Mickey and Carrie Petrie. She grew up and went to school in Buffalo, Wyoming. In 1963 Charlie married John Bugher and they moved to Portola, California where John worked in the logging industry. In 1966 the couple moved back to Buffalo, Wyoming. The couple were divorced in 1975 and she continued living in Buffalo. In 1976 Charlie married Bill Brown and they made their home in Buffalo. She worked as a waitress for several years as well as for Tanner’s Dry Cleaning and DJ’S Thriftway. The last several years she worked for Jim Gatchell Museum in Buffalo.

Charlie loved to be in the mountains, was an avid reader, and she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Charlotte is survived by her children: Randy Bugher and his wife Donna of Waxahachie, Texas; Tonya Bugher of Weslaco, Texas; two brothers: Tom Petrie of Kingman, Arizona and Harry Petrie of Palestine, Texas; 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her mother and father, 1 sister Connie Petrie and 1 brother Dick Petrie.
