Memorial services for Carol “Ann” Long, 64 year old Clearmont resident who passed away July 2, 2012 will be held Saturday, July 28, at 10:00 a.m. from the Clearmont Community Church with Pastor James and Alex Sain officiating. Donations may be made in Carol’s memory to the Buffalo Senior Center in care of the Adams Funeral Home at 351 N. Adams in Buffalo.

Carol “Ann” Long was born on September 8, 1947 in Greeley, Colorado to Carrol and Ruby Long. She grew up and received her education in Greeley, Colorado graduating from Greeley Central High School in 1966. After high school she went on to earn her degree and become a teacher for special needs children. She taught at several different schools in various states before moving to Clearmont, Wyoming where she taught for 11 years at the Arvada/Clearmont School. Carol retired in 1992 and continued to live in Clearmont until the time of her death.

Ann was a member of the Clearmont Women’s Club and many other organizations. She was an avid dog lover and enjoyed traveling, crafts, her house plants and spending time with her family and friends.

Ann is survived by two brothers: Robert Thomas of Greeley, Colorado, Gordon Thomas and his wife Sandi of Red Feather Lake, Colorado; two sisters, Patricia Long of Riverside, California, and Cherie Swindell of San Jose, California, one nephew; Allan Swindell and his wife Stacy of Buffalo, Wyoming and great nieces: Hunter, Ryder, and Gage Swindell of Buffalo, Wyoming; and many more nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents.
