Buckley Rhoads Jr., 55, of Sheridan passed away on the Big Horn Mountains in an accident on Tuesday, August 18, 2009.
Born on December 22, 1953 in Sheridan to Buckley and Patricia (Amande) Rhoads, "Buck" was a lifelong resident of Wyoming and loved the mountains. He was married to Juanita Roberts on October 29, 1999, and had a passion for riding his Harley motorcycle beside his wife. Buck was educated in Saratoga and attended Casper College, then worked for 27 years in the coal mining industry. A true tinkerer, he was devoted to his family and loved by many.
Survivors include his wife, father, daughter Casey Rhoads and sons Levi Rhoads and Joel Roberts, daughter Amanda Florez, brothers Scott and Cody Rhoads, and sisters Kaye Rhoads, Cindy Schenemen, and Tracey Young, and 3 grandchildren.
A memorial service is planned for Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Kane Funeral Home with family friend Brad Amelino officiating. A gathering of family and friends will follow at the Rhoads residence, 255 West 9th Street, Sheridan. Kane Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
