Bernice Darline Worden, 79, of Sheridan passed away on Sunday afternoon, January 20, 2013 at Sheridan Memorial Hospital.

Bernice was born in Gillette, WY on February 25, 1933 to Frank and Clara Horton. She was married to James Norskog on April 2, 1949. Together they raised 3 children, Don, Marsha, and Tony in Big Horn. She worked for many years in the radiology office of Sheridan hospital.

Shortly after Jim’s death, in 1986, Bernice moved to Sheridan to be closer to friends and family. She was active in Daughters of the Nile, BPO Does, and the Red Hat Society. It was through her involvement with Nile that she met Charles “Ed” Worden. They were married on May 1, 1988. She and Ed were actively involved in the Elks, Kalif Shrine, Kalif Oriental Band until his death in March of 2009.

In her free time, Bernice enjoyed making crafts and cooking. There was rarely an Elks or Masonic event that didn’t include her dinner rolls.

Bernice was preceded in death by her parents, and husbands. She leaves behind her son Don and his wife Debbie of Sheridan, daughter Marsha Neeriemer and her husband Ed of Sheridan, and son Tony and his wife Valarie of Boise, ID, in addition to 8 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Memorials in honor of Bernice may be made to the Kalif Shrine Chidren's Travel Fund at P.O. Box K, Sheridan, WY 82801.

Services for Bernice will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at Kane Funeral Home, and interment will follow in the Sheridan Masonic Oblong Square.
