Belinda Kay Pihlak, 61, of Sheridan, WY was born on March 23, 1951 in Sheridan, WY to Emmett and Thelma (Partin) Stiles. She passed peacefully on August 20, 2012 surrounded by the family she loved.
Belinda married the love of her life, Jerry Arnold Pihlak, on March 15, 1975. Belinda was the youngest daughter of eight children growing up in Sheridan. In her younger years, Belinda was employed at Riemelts Nursing Home and then started working at Sheridan Memorial Hospital in 1971. She was well known as the "Enema Queen". She retired from the hospital in 2004.
Belinda made friends everywhere she went. She loved good jokes, spending time with co workers, friends and family. She also enjoyed cooking, going to church, crafts, collecting recipes, collecting dust on her collectibles, socializing, laughing and enjoying life to the fullest.
Belinda’s friends and family played a big part in her life, as well as she played in theirs. She was very well known for her bubbly personality and caring manner.
Belinda was preceded in death by her parents, Emmett and Thelma Stiles, brother, Berdon Stiles, all of Sheridan, WY and two sisters, Joyce Matlock of Sheridan and Maxine Doran of Phelan, CA. She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Jerry A. Pihlak, daughter Kimberly K. Pihlak, both of Sheridan, stepson Brad (Paula) C. Pihlak of Las Vegas, NV, three brothers; Leon (Eva Lee) Stiles, Derald (Arlene) Stiles, and Lonnie Stiles, all of Sheridan. And one sister, Myrna Bybee of Buffalo, WY. She is also survived by a large extended family.
A visitation for Belinda will be held at 1:00 p.m with Services to follow at 2:00 on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at Kane Funeral Home with Pastor Darrell White officiating.
In lieu of flowers, since Belinda loved animals, we would love to have donations made to the Sheridan Dog and Cat Shelter at 84 East Ridge Road, Sheridan, WY 82801. She also supported the Tree of Life Foundation through Sheridan Memorial Hospital at 1401 West 5th St., Sheridan, WY 82801.
