Ann “Millie” Wantulok, 92, of Wyarno, WY died Wednesday, December 30, 2009, in Westview Health Care Center, Sheridan, WY.
Ann was born July 17, 1917, in Acme, WY to Adam & Regina (Blaha) Boyko.
Ann grew up in the Sheridan area and graduated from Sheridan High School. She worked at the Bones Brothers Dude Ranch near Birney, MT when she was a teenager. Ann married Paul M. Wantulok on November 23, 1941, in Acme, WY where she raised their children, her animals and gardened. They moved to Wyarno in 1956 where she helped with the ranch work and also raising her grandchildren. She loved having a porch full of family and friends on Sunday eating her delicious meals and in the summer having the backyard full of relatives and friends. An avid seamstress, she took a tailoring class to produce self designed quilts and other crafts. She was active in the Wyarno Community as a clerk of school district 35, an election judge in the Wyarno precinct and a member of the Ulm Hilltoppers women’s group.
Ann was preceded in death by her husband Paul in 1987, daughter Johanna, her sister and her brother.
Ann is survived by her daughters Gina Twohy of Sheridan and Nancy Herdt of Wyarno; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 11:00am on Tuesday (Jan. 5th) from Champion Ferries Funeral Home with Father Ronald Stolcis officiating. Interment will be in Sheridan Municipal Cemetery. Arrangements are with Champion Ferries Funeral Home.
