The Ranchester Town Council approved to advertise for bids on the Coffeen Street project. The Town would like to improve the infrastructure in the area while the road is being re-constructed as part of the closing of the railroad crossing. Ranchester Mayor Cliff Clevenger.
Part of the project will be to drop the elevation of Coffeen Street six feet as part of the railroad closure. The Railroad will be funding $50,000 of the project and WYDOT $40,000. Clevenger explains where the rest of the funding will come from.
Engineering estimates of the Coffeen Street project are approximately $330,000. Clevenger stated that if the bids come in close to the estimate, the Town will most likely have to spend $70,000 of Capital Facilities Tax money on the project.
