Meadowlark Elementary School is 11th out of 14 schools on the list for capital construction funding in the Wyoming State Legislature. Sheridan County School District 2 Superintendent Craig Dougherty says now it’s a question for the Governor and legislature to determine how far down the list funding will be available.
There have also been concerns raised with the condition of Coffeen Elementary School, which is the District’s second oldest school currently in use. Only the Story school building is older. However, Coffeen is not on the state list of schools in need.
