Earlier this week, Sheridan Media News reported the Sheridan County Commissioners approved two grants for reclamation of areas affected by wildfires earlier this year.
County Commissioner, Bob Rolston, said the state forests and grasslands had an expensive year.
However, he also said Sheridan County fared relatively well.
Along with the Gilead fire near Story, Sheridan County experienced several smaller fires throughout the summer, including fires at Acme, Clearmont, and several within the Big Horn National Forest.
Wyoming Governor, Matt Mead, is currently addressing funding issues on the state level.
