Powder River Basin Coal will be hosting a roundtable discussion on Thursday, December 13, where participants will discuss domestic challenges for the industry - and international opportunities.
In a description of the event, members of the School of Energy Resources at the University of Wyoming's Center for Energy Economics and Public Policy, they assert that coal remains America's most abundant source of low cost energy. But the coal industry in the states is facing significant economic challenges and environmental constraints from the EPA.
Again, the discussion will take place on Thursday, December 13 at the Technical Education Center at Gillette College. A continental breakfast will begin at 8 a.m., followed by opening remarks from the director and a professor from the University of Wyoming's School of Energy Resources.
