The news that the Decker Coal Mine would be laying off up to 75 employees in early 2013 came as a shock to many, as it will definitely have a lasting impact on the Sheridan community. Sheridan Mayor Dave Kinskey.
Kinskey says that he's been in contact with the Department of Workforce Services, Sheridan College and Sheridan County School District Two regarding the impending layoffs.
