LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) - A fire in the luxury suites under construction at the University of Wyoming's War Memorial Stadium caused minor damage and won't delay the project by much.
The university says no injuries were reported in the fire Monday night, and officials said it took less than an hour to put out. Some fireproofing material that was being applied to structural steel may have to be replaced because of the fire.
The fire was located where the new Wildcatter Club and Suites are being built on the upper east side of the stadium. The $22.3 million construction project began last spring and is scheduled to be completed in time for the 2010 football season.
Officials said they believe the fire involved propane tanks, but the cause is still under investigation.
