This past weekend was full of fun and festivities for residents and visitors alike. It was the 26th annual Story Days and there was something for everyone. Story Days Chairwoman Joan Griffen.
It was a street-like festival which included a parade, wood carvers, a horseshoe tournament and a quilt show. They had a dutch oven cook-off, a duck race and a kids rodeo. There was even a pig roast and a tight jeans contest and of course, there was plenty of food and drink, along with lots of music.
Folks even took advantage of the celebration and set up their own garage sales along the pedestrian traffic ways. Everyone pulled together to make this Story Days the success that it was.
The theme for this year's Story Days was “The Colors of Story.”
