Fire Prevention Week Starts Sunday

Next week is National Fire Prevention week and the Sheridan Fire-Rescue Department is planning events throughout the week. This is one of the times throughout the year when firefighters get to spend time with local school kids. Sheridan Fire Marshal Brian Songer says that over 500 kids are expected to tour the Fire Station next week.

The Sheridan Fire-Rescue Department has been very successful at promoting fire safety in the past.

The week ends with the annual Fire Station Open House. The event takes place on Saturday, October 10th, starting around 9AM. They will once again have the car seat checkpoint and will have refreshments starting about noon.
