At their last meeting June 27th, the Johnson County Healthcare Center's Board of Trustees reviewed plans and projects for the upcoming year from Hospital Adminstrator Sandy Ward.
Major projects planned for FY2013 include completing the 2012 building project and to begin planning for the 2016 building project. Planning on the 2016 project should be completed in January of 2013 and a decision on whether to move forward with the project is expected in February of 2013.
Contributing to that decision, Ward said, will be valuation in the county and the subsequent amount their Healthcare Center's mill levy will generate. It is assumed, according to the preliminary budget figures, that a 3 mill tax levy will be requested by the JCHC which will generate $3,200,000 in revenue for them, which would establish revenue sufficient for the building project.
Planned equipment purchases during FY2013 include monitors for ICU for $90,000; a new bus for the Amie Holt Care Center for $100,000; and a C-arm for Radiology for $115,000.
