WWDC And City Of Sheridan Looking At Water For The Future

Last year Dowl-HKM engineers completed a Level One water study for Sheridan County that showed a need for the acquisition of more water for the area. As the Wyoming Water Development Commission gets ready to start a Level Two water study and they are asking our community for their ideas on what we would like to see in future water development. Dowl-HKM Project Manager Susan Holmes says the Level One was a good start.

The process will be a long and complicated one. Mike Besson with the WWDC says Level Two will find out if Sheridan really does need the water in the next 50 years.

The final report on the Level Two study is expected to be ready in February 2011. Holmes says they will have to complete most of the work by next fall to make the deadline. They are planning more public meetings throughout the process.
