Special Election On the Capital Facilities Tax Is Only A Few Days Away

The special election on whether to continue the Capital Facilities Tax in Sheridan County is Tuesday, August 18th. The $25 million that will be voted on will go towards infrastructure and road improvements in the city of Sheridan, the towns of Ranchester, Dayton and Clearmont and Sheridan County in general.

Dayton Mayor Bob Wood feels confident that voters will do the right thing.

Polls will be open from 7 am to 7 pm on election day. If you can't make it to your polling location, you can vote absentee by stopping by the election office in the Sheridan County Courthouse no later than 5 pm Monday, August 17th. It should also be noted that absentee ballots must be returned to the election office by 7 pm on election day.
