Ron RichterThe Sheridan City Council Tuesday night approved second reading of an ordinance that rezones Hidden Bridge Ranch from a mix of R-1 residential and B-1 business to R-2 residential. The 18.5 acre rezone on Mydland Road south of West Fifth Street was approved by a vote of 4 to 3. City Community Development Director Wade Sanner said the proposed subdivision that will be considered by the Council at a future meeting, will include less lots than what was originally planned.
Sanner explained some of the details of the rezone request prior to the Council’s second reading approval of the ordinance.
The ordinance must be approved a third and final time before the rezone takes effect. The Council also received an update from Sheridan College President Dr. Walt Tribley on how the one-cent funding they receive from the City is allocated. Public Works Director Lane Thompson also provided an update on the City’s street lights. We’ll have more from the Council meeting in future stories.
