The Sheridan County Commissioners Tuesday approved a contract with O'Dell Construction to install security upgrades to the Sheridan County Courthouse. Sheridan County Administrative Director Renee' Obermueller says that the project will consist of upgrading the security of the Historic Courthouse.
Obermueller said that next year they will finish the project up with some cosmetic upgrades to the Historic Courthouse.
The Commissioners also approved a contract with TSP Inc. for $35,000 for design of a new District Court hearing room.
Obermueller said that the additional hearing room will not be suited for a Jury and that the tentative plan would be to have the extra Judge in Sheridan two days a week and in Johnson County three days a week.
