The annexation of the Buffalo Business Park into the city is complete after the council had the third and final reading of the annexation Ordinance at their recent meeting.

Ordinance No. 1404 was passed on its third and final reading, annexing the Buffalo Business Park.

The park is a 140-acre property near the Sewage Treatment Plant, designed to be a magnet for economic development.

The completion of the business park project has been pushed back for a number of reasons, and the city council voted at the same meeting last week to approve the latest change order on the project.

The $115,000 change order includes adjustment of roads and grading and moving power poles that were installed incorrectly and at the wrong locations by Rocky Mountain Power, according to discussions during the meeting.

About $61,000 of the change order amount is the cost of dealing with the power pole issue.

Fearing a delay in approving the change order may further delay the completion of the overall project, the council approved the change order to get the project moving toward completion.
