Post offices nationwide have been in the news this summer, as advances of advertising and mail service in email and the Internet are finally catching up with the United States Postal Service, causing significant financial problems.
It was announced in July that 37 rural post offices in Wyoming are under-review for closure by the Postal Service - just one strategy the USPS is proposing to cut costs. Several northern Wyoming area offices are on the list including Parkman, Wyarno, Recluse, Arvada, Leiter, and Clearmont.
Other strategies the Postal Service has proposed to solve their problem include things like stopping Saturday deliveries, reducing retirement benefits, raising rates or a combination of these options.
This week's Bank of Sheridan/Sheridanmedia.com Poll Question is: What should the Postal Service do to reduce its deficits?
