Commissioner Nickel Announces He Won’t Seek Reelection

Long time Sheridan County Commissioner Mike Nickel has announced that he won’t be seeking a fourth term on the commission in this year’s election. Nickel said that he’s enjoyed serving the residents of Sheridan County during his time on the commission.

Nickel reflected on one of the highlights during his almost 12 years as a County Commissioner.

The candidate filing period begins today and runs through May 29. According to the Wyoming Secretary of State’s Office, all candidates for the office of U.S. Senator, U.S. Representative, Wyoming State Senator, and Wyoming State Representative, must file with the Secretary of State’s Election Division, and all candidates for municipal and county officers must file with their local county clerk’s office. This year’s Primary Election is August 18. The General Election is set for November 3.
