DOH, DOE Talk When Recommendation to Close Schools Could Come
The Wyoming Department of Health and the Department of Education are working with several other organizations on the local, state, and federal levels, in order to effectively make recommendations to the public on what actions should be taken when in relation to the COVID-19 outbreak. Wyoming Health Officer and Epidemiologist Dr. Alexia Harrist talked about what events would garner a recommendation to close k-12 schools.
State Superintendent for Public Instruction Jillian Balow said that options for continuing the school year remotely are being considered as contingencies for a potential closure.
The two made their comments during a news conference held by the state on Thursday.

There is no soap for the high schoolers to use! Some kids have been coughing on my son and laughing. I’m tired of this town acting so uninformed! We need to care about our community and TRY to preserve it!
