The annual Big horn mountain wild and scenic trail run proved to be another great challenge to the competitors and a new 100 mile course record was set race organizer Michelle Maneval.Maneval talks about what made conditions so tough this year.at the awards breakfast yesterday Maneval says the feed back from the runners was very positive.The overall 100 mile champion was Carl Meltzer from Sandy Utah he broke his own course record of 20 hours and 12 minutes this year his time was 19 hours and 15 minutes.and I asked Meltzer the motivation to compete in 100 mile trail races.Meltzer had a major event happen during the race and he has the bumps and bruises to show after an up close encounter with a cow moose.The 18th annual event is already scheduled for the 3rd weekend in June 2010.

The Sheridan Troopers will be on the road this week. the troops will play at a tournament in Gillette play begins Thursday and wraps up on Sunday. The Sheridan Jets will play their next games at home Saturday against Cody.

Kendrick golf course is hosting couples night twice per month throughout the summer,they host the event on Friday evenings. Couples just need to sign up before each event they play nine holes and have a carry-in dinner after play each couple is asked to bring a dish to share. The next couples night will be July 3rd.

Sheridan college women's basketball coach Frank McCarthy has his girls basketball camp this week at in the Hoffman dome at Sheridan college.McCarthy says it's a great week for the younger players.

The Colorado Rockies hosted a weekend series with the Pittsburgh Pirates and swept all three games the Rockies have won five straight and 15 of their last 16.inter-league play continues today with the Rockies playing at the Los Angeles Angels.
