SHERIDAN WYO RODEO - The 80th Sheridan Wyo Rodeo opens with concerts tonight and tomorrow at the fairgrounds.
A record number of contestants have entered this year's rodeo which will feature four night's of top PRCA action beginning Wednesday night at 7:00.
they will also have slack performances in the morning each day starting Tuesday at 7:00 am with a full day of steer roping.
Wyo rodeo board Vice-president Zane Garstad says it's a special time of year.
And board president Billy Craft says it's not only about one of the best rodeo's in the country it's about the entire Sheridan county community.
Molly Hatchet and Marshall Tucker are in concert tonight, Rodney Atkins and Jake owen go tomorrow night with the boot kickoff.
SHERIDAN TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers are in Billings through tomorrow playing in a tournament they play their next home games July 15th.
SHERIDAN JETS BASEBALL - The Sheridan Jets are off until Saturday when they host two with Lovell starting at 1:00.
SHERIDAN BRONC YOUTH FOOTBALL CAMP - The Sheridan Bronc football team will host their summer youth football camp next week and the broncs will go through a mini-camp themselves.
The 4th annual youth camp will run next week Monday – Wednesday with players 8th grade and younger going from 5:00 to 6:00 pm at Homer Scott stadium. The high school players will go from 6:00 to 8:00.
The Bronc youth football camp costs 10 dollars per camper for 8th grade and younger players and each camper gets a camp t-shirt. They will take registration at the field Monday before the camp opens at 5:00.
LOCAL YOUTH GOLF - Sheridan county youth golf series will host the first junior golf tournament of the summer July 19th a the Sheridan country club.
The junior golf series is open to all boys and girls ages 8-17 the fee is10 dollars per golfer, registration forms are located at all three Sheridan courses.
The rest of the junior golf series dates will be July 26th at Kendrick golf course which will be a Wyoming parks and recreation junior golf day. the final event will be at the Powder Horn Monday August 2nd.
