The move for the Buffalo/Johnson County Recycling Center has been scheduled for Friday, August 19, according to Recycling Board member Skip Hancock.

The Sheridan Police Department is offering registration for the Deer Management Plan again this year, which allows bow hunting of the animals within some areas of city limits.

Banner's Alton Miller Advances to West Regional Final of Country Showdown

This past June, Alton Miller of Banner won the Sheridan-leg of the Texaco Country Showdown Competition. He has impressed again, this time at the Montana State Fair winning 1,000 and a chance to play in the regional final of the competition this November in Oregon.

Gillette - According to a release from Basin Electric Power Cooperative, celebrating the completion of a more than 3-year project, the Dry Fork Station had more than 1,100 people attend the coal-based power plant's dedication ceremony in Gillette Thursday.

Annual Blood Screening August 22nd - 27th

Phone lines are open and volunteers are ready and waiting to set up appointments for the annual Sheridan Memorial Hospital Blood Screening. The event is set for the week of August 22nd through 27th, in preparation for the 2011 Health Fair coming up September 24th.

The Johnson County Commissioners will have a public hearing to let citizens voice their support and/or concerns over the proposed County Animal Regulations that are currently being discussed for possible implementation by the county.
