As high school students prepare to start class tomorrow, the group with the most nerves might just be the incoming freshman, and SHS is trying to make their transition a little easier.

The Exhibit Hall at the Sheridan County Fairgrounds became a place of homespun fun and food Saturday as the Powder River Basin Resource Council hosted its major fundraiser, the 6th annual Harvest Fest.

This past weekend was busy with all the communities surrounding Sheridan having celebrations and Big Horn was no different. It was fun, food, fine cars. It was the 2nd annual Absaraka State Takeover.

25th Annual Story Days

Saturday was the 25th annual Story Days, a day jam packed with sidewalk vendors and activities for all ages. Cars had to give way to pedestrian traffic as both sides of the main thoroughfare in Story was parked full.

SHS Offers Classes to Wide Array of Students

About 30 percent of students who graduate from Sheridan High School don't go on to college right after high school. SHS Principal Dirlene Wheeler says that post-secondary education doesn't always mean classes at a four-year college.
