New PRBRC Report Recommends Protecting Groundwater Resources
The Powder River Basin Resource Council released a report this week recommending that Wyoming legislators and industry leaders implement a series of specific actions to protect what they say are scarce and dwindling groundwater resources.

State Superintendent of Public Instruction Cindy Hill issued a message Wednesday that included video/audio of Legislative Service Office Liaison Ruth Sommers testifying before a joint education sub-committee in December.
Much of the first week of the Wyoming Legislature has centered around Senate File 104, legislation that would remove the state superintendent of public instruction as administrative head of the state Department of Education. The WDE would be run by a director appointed by Governor Matt Mead.
Wyoming’s revenue growth has slowed down, and Senate Majority Floor Leader Phil Nicholas (R-Laramie) says if the state doesn’t do something soon to adjust our spending expectations, we’ll be in trouble.
