CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - The legislative panel responsible for drafting a supplemental Wyoming state budget bill recommends that lawmakers reject Gov. Matt Mead's proposal to cut the flow of energy revenues going into permanent savings and school construction.

Central Wyoming Snowpack Lagging, Hurting Skiing

CASPER, Wyo. (AP) - The central Wyoming snowpack is lagging this year, hurting business at Hogadon Ski Area on Casper Mountain. The snowpack in the northern Laramie Range is between 60 to 70 percent of the 30-year average. The ski area opened a month late on Dec. 30 and only two runs are open.

The latest offering from the Sheridan Civic Theater Guild will open this week at the Carriage House Theater in Sheridan. The play “A Nice Family Gathering” is a dark comedy about a family getting together for Thanksgiving.

At the Northern Wyoming Community College District(NWCCD) monthly meeting Thursday in Buffalo, Sheridan College's Administration requested a $5 increase in the cost of a credit hour to take effect in the 2013-14 school year.
