Voters Turn Out for Forum

The first night of the Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce candidate forums drew a crowd Tuesday night, as the Whitney Presentation Hall at Sheridan College was near capacity with people interested to hear the candidates for state and federal positions.

Garriffa Pleads Guilty to Heroin Delivery Charge

A change of plea hearing for a Sheridan man was held Tuesday in Fourth Judicial District Court in Sheridan. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter has the story.

Mraz Pleads Not Guilty to Forgery

Twenty-five-year-old Miranda Mraz of Sheridan was arraigned in Fourth Judicial District Court in Sheridan Tuesday. Mraz is charged with seven counts of felony forgery, and one count of theft for altering customer's credit card receipts at the Firewater Bar and Grill on North Main in Sheridan.

Five Injured in Buffalo Float Incident

Officials at the Johnson County Sheriff's Department say an incident involving the Tri-County Gas-Desava Gardens joint float, that occurred early Saturday afternoon after the county fair and rodeo parade, caused injury to five people who were ejected from a trailer attached to a pickup truck.

County Updates Fire Restrictions

Sheridan County commissioners rescinded the fire restriction resolution they approved last month, and approved a new resolution to correct errors in the July 23 document.
