Wyoming Hospitality and Tourism leaders have gathered in Sheridan for the Fall Hospitality and Tourism Summit. Wyoming Office of Tourism Director Diane Shober will speak at the two-day event later today with an update on how the state fared over this past summer tourism season.

It's Fire Safety Week

Sheridan Fire-Rescue has joined fire departments across the country in recognizing Fire Prevention Week, and SFR will host an open house at the fire station Saturday, October 15.

3rd Annual Lane Goldhammer Memorial Scholarship Fundraiser is Sunday

Lane Goldhammer, 13, wore number 69 for the Big Horn Rams. A fundraiser for a scholarship in his memory will be held this Sunday from 1-4 pm at Cloud Peak Lanes in Sheridan.

Three years ago today, 13-year-old Big Horn student and friend, Lane Goldhammer, died in a car accident. This Sunday for the third year, friends and family will gather in his memory to go bowling.

BLM to Remove 6,000 More Wild Horses in West

RENO, Nev. (AP) - Federal land managers have announced plans to remove more than 6,000 more wild horses from the range across the West in the next few months, including about 3,500 mustangs in Nevada.
