Local Filmmaker Leon Schatz Will Use His "Superpowers" On An Upcoming Warner Brothers Production

Soon to be the latest in the big screen comic book craze is The Green Lantern, which will be filmed in New Orleans. ESA Decision on Sage Grouse Expected This Week

Wyoming News Service, Casper, WY - Once there were more than 2 million sage grouse throughout the West. Now, best estimates show there are somewhere between 200 and 300,000 of the birds left -- mostly in Wyoming, Colorado, Montana and Idaho.

Athletes and participants alike mustered up their courage this past Saturday as they jumped into the icy waters of Lake DeSmet, all for a good cause.

The 3rd Annual Sheridan Jackalope Jump is a fundraiser to benefit Special Olympics Wyoming. According to event coordinator Kerri Pilcher, the Jackalope Jump was one of seven such fundraisers being held throughout the state.

If attendance was any indication, Saturday night's Dog and Cat Shelter's Family Fun Night should be deemed a huge success, as the Sheridan County Fairgrounds Exhibit Hall was packed with 350 to 400 people for the event. Live music, a homemade chili feed, a bucket raffle, a live and silent auction, plus several children's games were highlights of the evening.
