Sheridan College announced Thursday its own SkillsUSA student team brought home the "Outstanding College Chapter" trophy and its students swept many categories in a competition in Casper earlier this week.
Ptolemy Data Systems in Sheridan has been recognized by IDG's Computerworld Honors Program as a 2013 Laureate. The annual award program honors visionary applications of information technology promoting positive social, economic and educational change.
According to data from the Wyoming Department of Education, Wyoming schools experienced an enrollment growth of over 1,500 students in 2012-2013. The data indicates that there are 90,993 students attending schools this year in the Cowboy State.
Earlier this week Wyoming Department of Transportation Plows met up with snowplow crews with Yellowstone National Park, which signified that the WYDOT crews had finished its part in opening the East Entrance of Yellowstone.
