Three Arrested As A Result Of High Speed Chase

High Speed chase through Sheridan County results in three arrests.

The high speed chase that took place Wednesday morning in Sheridan County that ended in a one-vehicle crash in Shell Canyon in Big Horn County now has some closure. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter has the story.

Former Firefighter Andrew Joy Arraigned

31-year-old Andrew Joy of Sheridan was arraigned in 4th Judicial District Court Thursday morning on the felony charge of Delivery of a Controlled Substance/Hydrocodone. Joy plead guilty as part of a plea agreement with the State to a deferred prosecution. District Court Judge John Fenn ordered a pre-sentence investigation and told Joy that he was to report to the parole office immediately following the hearing.

Patrick Reitz One Of Four Finalists For Position In Teton County

City of Sheridan Fire Chief Patrick Reitz is one of the four finalists that are being considered to fill the position of Teton County Fire and Emergency Services Chief. Chief Reitz says he is "honored to make the cut.

Dayton Town Council Report

The Dayton Town Council met for their second regular April meeting Wednesday night. Among the agenda items, Councilman Bob Alley says they set up a work study for May 5th to go over the annual Budget reading. He also reported that the 75-foot bridge went in yesterday across the Tongue River leading to the water treatment plant.

Verizon Services Are Back Online

We received a call from JD Harris with the Cowboy State News Network just before 10 this morning alerting us to a statewide outage of Verizon services for Colorado and Wyoming. The outage did not seem to impact the Sheridan area. Service has been restored in in all of Wyoming. At 2 o'clock Thursday morning a network switching station in Colorado went down, resulting in the outage.

Law enforcement and emergency services personnel responded to several different kinds of calls Wednesday all throughout Sheridan County and beyond.

"Your Last Chance" Judge Warns

19-year-old Zachery Morrison was sentenced in 4th Judicial District Court April 20th, after pleading "Guilty" in December on one count of sexual abuse of a minor. Morrison admitted to having had inappropriate sexual contact with a 13-year-old girl in September 2009 when he was 18-years-old. Sheridan Media's Mary Jo Johnson has the report.

Longer Liquor Hours? Not Everyone Agrees

Starting this weekend, businesses outside city limits in Sheridan County will be able to sell liquor on Sundays from 6 a.m. until 2 a.m. The County Commissioners voted this week to extend Sunday hours of operation, following a request made by the Sheridan County Liquor Dealers Association.

Gas And Dash Results In High Speed Chase

Just before 11 o'clock this morning, the Wyoming Highway Patrol was notified of a gas drive-off in Buffalo that involved three runaway juveniles. Highway Patrol Lieutenant Casey Goodman explains how the events unfolded that resulted in a high-speed chase.

Reuter to Have Mental Evaluation

23-year-old Kyle Reuter was scheduled to have a pre-trial conference in 4th Judicial District Court Tuesday, with his trial scheduled for May 19th. Reuter has been charged with Possession of Child Pornography.
