First Ever Shopapalooza Held Thursday Night

Despite the blustery winter weather blowing in Thursday night, the atmosphere was electric with excitement at the first ever Shopapalooza held in the Timberline Room of the Black Tooth Brewing Company.

Johnson County Commissioners Lift Fire Ban

At their meeting this week the Johnson County Commissioners approved a request to lift the county-wide fire ban enacted this summer.

SCJC To Host Artist Reception Friday Evening

Sheridan College in Johnson County will host an Artist Reception for two area photographers tonight at the campus on South Main Street.

The featured artists will be Stacy Ellenwood and Diana Volk, whose work will be on display during the event.

Buffalo Council At Odds Over Clear Creek School Transfer

At Tuesday’s Buffalo City Council meeting the council erupted into a verbal melee among themselves and members of the public attending the meeting, over the proposed transfer of ownership of the old Clear Creek School building from the school district to the city.

Johnson County Extends Contract For 4H Educator

The Johnson County Commissioners, at their Tuesday meeting, approved the contract extension between themselves and the University of Wyoming for 4H Extension Office Educator Rachel Vardiman.

Game and Fish Announces Wolf Hunting Seasons

Wolf hunting seasons have begun in the northwest part of the state.

Hunting seasons in each wolf hunt area began October 1 and will end December 31, except for Hunt Area 12 south of Jackson, which opens October 15 and closes December 31.

Space Needed for Trolley Renovation

The historic trolley that is located next to the Sheridan County Museum is in need of renovations, and the Sheridan County Historical Society is looking for help from the community to store the trolley over the winter.
